Addison Olivier,

Hi there! I'm Addison Olivier. I'm a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before becoming an intern at Clarte Counseling, I worked with children in a preschool setting as well as in an Applied Behavioral Analysis clinic, working with children on the Autism Spectrum. These experiences have given me the passion and techniques to work with children in general and those on the spectrum.

Some techniques that I use in session include behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and play therapy. Using play therapy builds a strong bond between clinician and client, while having you, the client, as the main focus. Focusing on behaviors and how emotions associated with those behaviors is my bread and butter! The therapeutic alliance is a very important aspect of my counseling method, as the client needs to feel comfortable sharing these emotions. I continue to seek out additional learning opportunities to expand my knowledge to best serve you!

I currently see clients ages 7 and up, with availability throughout the week and on Saturdays. As a counseling intern, I offer reduced rates for sessions. I can't wait to join you on your mental health journey!
