If you made it this far and are looking up counselors, I want to give you all kinds of praise!  You are motivated to find change, growth or something different for yourselves or someone you care about and you deserve support throughout this process.  I want to first acknowledge that sometimes asking for help can be one of the hardest things we do. We tend to think that asking for help somehow makes us weak, but if you really think about it, it takes bravery to reach out to those around us when we are struggling.  Asking for support can help us create better results, grow as a person, and learn more about ourselves.

I work with clients who are looking for a change. I provide a safe space to open up and grow. My approach with clients is more direct, but I promise to always treat you with respect and compassion.

Now a little about myself, my name is Jason Delahoussaye, a graduate of University of Louisiana, serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor and I hold two different Masters’ degrees, Applied Psychology and Counselor Education.  I am a veteran of the Army National Guard where I served during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005.  I have also worked in oilfield sales, residential/ commercial construction, as well as an academic counselor at ULL, where I helped students navigate college life.  I worked with individuals, couples and adolescents typically 15 and older, to help identify coping skills or create new ones when dealing with their current struggles. I have completed specialized training to offer Telehealth therapy  (online therapy) sessions via my secure platform to anyone residing in the state of Louisiana.
