FAQs

What can expect at my first session?

The therapist you work with will collect background information and relevant history to help assess your needs and goals for therapy. The first session will also review policy, procedures, and limitations to confidentiality. The first session is focused on building a partnership between you and your therapist to help you feel comfortable and achieve your therapy goals.

What payment methods are accepted?

Credit/Debit Card, FSA/HSA, and cash.

How much do sessions cost?

The cost of your session will vary on which therapist you decide to see and what insurance you are using. The cost of your session will be communicated to you prior to the start of your therapy so that you are aware. If you are in need of a reduced fee, please talk to your therapist about sliding scale options.

Do you accept insurance?

Some of our therapists do accept certain insurances such as BCBS and UHC and most insurance plans do cover all or a portion of counseling services. You may check with your insurance plan to see what your benefits are. If you are interested in working with a particular therapist, please inquire about what insurance panels they are on and have them run your benefits to help you learn what your out of pocket cost may be.

Do I actually need counseling?

Everyone can benefit from counseling. Therapists have specialized training and education to help you work through whatever stage of life you are in. In undergoing therapy, you may see benefits such as improved self-esteem, improved communication and interpersonal relationships, trauma resolution, improved mood, improved coping, better expression and management of emotions, improved stress management, and improved problem solving abilities. When you meet with your therapist you will discuss what your goals for therapy are and your therapist will work with you to accomplish this.

Can my therapist prescribe medication?

No, your therapist can not prescribe you medication but can work with your prescribing provider or help you to find a provider that can.
