Play Therapy
What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy is an evidence based treatment method where therapists and counselors use the power of play to help children and adolescent clients address and solve their own problems in ways that feel familiar. Play Therapy aims to help children's growth and development by working to help the client naturally open up and learn about themselves, others, or the world. We find that children are more able to express themselves, ask questions, and process emotions in this non-directive and creative therapeutic approach. Play Therapy can be used to address issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, Impulsivity, Self-Esteem, and difficulties with school related issues.
