Kyleigh Desforges

Private Pay, Sliding Scale

Hi, I’m Kyleigh Desforges! I am a graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe studying both Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. I have nearly 4 years of experience providing behavioral therapy to children with Autism in clinic and school settings. This experience has made me passionate about fostering my client's social, emotional, and behavioral development. It has also led me to incorporating belief systems into therapy!

The counseling techniques that I currently use are rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) and solution-focused therapy. My main focus is on how your beliefs, emotions, and behaviors interact with one another. My goal is to help you build resilience and help you navigate towards living a life that is of most value to you. My style can be described as directive, confrontational, feelings forward, and even humorous at times. I am neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

I see clients ages 3 and up and offer availability on weekday afternoons, as well as Friday and Saturday mornings. As a counseling intern, I offer reduced rates and work under the supervision of Emma Carline and Dr. Molina at ULM.
