Kyleigh Desforges

Hi, I’m Kyleigh Desforges! I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) here at Clarté. I graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. Prior to becoming a counselor, I gained nearly 5 years of experience providing applied behavioral analysis therapy. This experience has made me passionate about fostering my client's social, emotional, and behavioral development. It has also driven my desire to bridge the gap between external behavior and internal processes in therapy!

I use techniques from a combination of cognitive-behavior therapy, Gestalt therapy, and somatic therapy. My focus is on helping you to increase self-awareness, dispute irrational patterns of thoughts, and build connection between the mind and body. My personal style can be described as confrontational, feelings forward, and humorous with nods to pop culture. I am neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I feel passionate about creating a comfortable space where clients can discuss otherwise taboo topics such as sexual functioning, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

I currently see clients ages 5 and up with availability on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings! As a PLPC, I offer sliding scale rates and practice under the supervision of Michelle Thomas LPC-S.
