Morgan Ruppert,

Greetings, I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Morgan Ruppert, and I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). I also have experience working with the high school and college level as a school counselor and academic advisor. I graduated from LSU in 2023 with a Master of Education in Counseling, and since then I have moved back home to Acadiana.

I meet people where they are in their healing journeys, and I believe in working together to figure out how to move forward. Healing starts within, and through working with me, I will help you discover those thoughts and emotions much deeper than what grazes the surface. Growth and healing looks different for everyone, and sometimes transitioning periods of life come with certain obstacles that may be too challenging to face alone.

 My general areas of focus are with depression, anxiety disorders, relationship/peer issues as well as self-esteem and goal setting. I also offer career counseling and couples counseling, both of which I continuously make efforts to enrich my knowledge of.

My approach to counseling involves using a holistic mindset in the therapy space. Improvement begins with the desire to make change, and regardless of where you are on that spectrum, I will meet you there! I utilize a range of techniques, such as client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and certain cognitive behavioral strategies when necessary. My career counseling services involve evidence-based interventions that I have narrowed down fairly well after my time in the school system. I am a firm believer in the power of mindfulness, and it is something that I emphasize heavily as a counselor. But it all starts with your story, and every person has their own unique experience! Gaining a holistic perspective of a person and their specific needs allows YOU more control, which is something I value when determining any course of treatment. Together, we will figure out the best course of action to move forward towards a better and more meaningful life for you!

I see individuals ages 14 and older, offering traditional in-person appoints and virtual appointments. I offer flexible session options during the week to accommodate for any tight schedules due to school or work.
